Very nice orientalist oil on panel depicting two characters with a mule in the Algerian desert, signed J.Reymann * XIXth century.

This painting is in good condition. It is signed lower left. Its frame is posterior and suits him very well.

A note: tiny passage of time.

* Joseph Jacques Reymann (1848-?)

In 1870 Reymann done more than his duty during the war. Peace was signed, he resumed his place at the School of Fine Arts. Meanwhile, the young painter became Professor trendy elegant noble suburb of Paris. Reymann arrives in Algiers in 1885; his first paintings provoke a chorus of praise. Algeria is the prendr whole, head and heart; it is true he owes to his landscapes very fresh inspirations.
