Large box in rosewood veneer and finely chiseled gilded brass ornaments, decorated with a religious scene in medallion with lily flowers (the Last Supper with Jesus surrounded by his apostles), as well as masks in the corners, around the ornate casket Twisted columns in application, perhaps Flemish origin, XIXth century.
This box is in very good condition and is of exceptional quality. It is very decorative because of its large size. The handles of the sides are shaped like lion heads.
A note: small accident on an angle (missing a mascaron), some traces of restorations on the veneer (slot plugged on the lid), some wear and scratches of time, see photos.
