Exceptional and rare brown patina bronze sculpture (enhanced with gilding), representing a captive love, bow and quiver at his feet, signed G.Balloni *, vintage late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries.
This scupture is in very good condition. It is signed on the base.
A note: the bow moves and can be removed, tiny wear time patina, see photos.
sculptor born in Massa, Italy. Student of Mathurin Moreau, exhibited at the Salon of French Artists until 1922 and obtained an honorable mention in 1892 and a medal of 3rd class in 1893. (Cf Bénézit)
