* Pierre Camille Marie le Faguays (1892-1962)

is a French sculptor of Art Deco style. A student of Vibert at the École des Beaux-arts in Geneva, Pierre le Faguays works with various publishers including Max Le Verrier, the Susse foundry, Etling, the nephews of J. Lehman, among others. His style is close to that of Demetre Chiparus. He took part in his first exhibition at the Salon of the Société des Artistes Français in 1922. He received an honorable mention there in 1926 and another honorable mention, in the Sculpture section, in 1927.
Very prolific, his work deals with materials as varied as marble, stone, terracotta, bronze, ivory or alabaster. The Faguays is also well known for its creations in cast iron under different pseudonyms such as Guerbe and Fayral, surnames of his mother and his wife. He presents in Paris two groups of sculptures in the pavilion of A. Goldscheider at the Exhibition of Decorative and Industrial Arts. He also participated as an interior designer with two monumental bas-reliefs for the civil aviation room during the Specialized Exhibition of 1937 in Paris. After the Second World War, he was a painter on the Place du Tertre in Montmartre.
