Plate bas-relief bronze finely chiseled representing St. Anne with the Child Jesus on her lap, accompanied by the Virgin Mary, surrounded by two columns and plant arabesques, perhaps Moderno * from Italy to time sixteenth century.

This plate is in good condition. St. Anna is marked at the bottom.

* Moderno (1467-1528):

pseudonym of the Italian goldsmith Galeazzo Mondela, one of the largest producers of bronze plaques of the Italian Renaissance. The Jacquemart-André Museum in Paris has several artists bronze plates whose "Dead Christ Supported by the Virgin and St. John." (Bénézit excerpt)
