Rare carved ivory bas-relief plaque representing the apostle and evangelist Saint John with his various attributes: the eagle at his feet, the cup from which a serpent comes out in the left hand and the Bible in the right hand, in an architectural decoration of small columns, from the 16th century.
This plate is in good condition, high quality.

Specimen in worked ivory, prior to July 1, 1947 and therefore conforms to Regulation EC 338/97 of 12/09/1996 art.2-Wmc.
