Large Iznik dish in siliceous ceramic with polychrome decoration of colorful flowers: carnations and tulips in the center; on the rim stylized rocks and waves, small flowers on the back, Ottoman art from Turkey, 17th century.
This dish is in good condition and of exceptional quality. A similar dish belonging to the Louvre Museum (Department of Islamic Art, inventory number R16) is currently on display at the A. Dubouché Museum in Limoges.
Please note: minor chips on the edge, some enamel defects, a chip and a hairline crack on the bottom, scratches and wear consistent with age, please look carefully at the photos.
