Pair of cassolettes forming candlesticks Louis XVI white marble and gilt bronze, twisted amounts tripod eagle heads connected by chains, taken in seed, mounted on a round base, Napoleon III nineteenth century.
These cassolettes are in good condition and are very decorative. The upper part unscrews and turns to reveal two candlesticks.
A similar model of candelabra with six lights was delivered in 1787 by the merchant-merchant Dominique DAGUERRE for the Queen's Salon of the Nobles in Versailles. (Source Meeting of National Museums).
A note: some scratches and wear of time on the marble, micro-égrenures on the edge of the bases, tiny little sparkle on the body (see last photo), the bronze will be cleaned, wear of time, see photos.
