This box is in good condition, of good quality. Collector's label inside.

Victor Max Descaves (1899-1959) was the son of the columnist and naturalist writer Lucien Decaves. He was a literary journalist, frequented Montparnasse, and interviewed Céline in 1932, when he was still relatively unknown. His collection of objects and paintings was dispersed at public auctions.
