Bronze sculpture with golden patina signed Arson* representing a hen accompanied by her chick holding a basket titled "Fresh Eggs", the two wearing two small humorous headgear, from the 19th century.

sculptor (Ec fr). A student of Combette, this artist exhibited at the Salon from 1859 to 1880, and executed a large number of bronze subjects representing farmyard birds, hens with their chicks, pheasants, partridges, etc. (Cf Bénézit)
