* Sisters of Saint-Jacut:

The daily spectacle of the moral and spiritual ruins accumulated by the French Revolution of 1789 gave rise in the heart of a woman, Angélique Le Sourd, to the desire to devote her life to remedying it, by helping priests to revive the faith and restore the mores. This is how on April 25, 1816, she decided with three companions to live together in St-Jacut, a small town in Morbihan, to be better able to do good around them by pooling their resources and their skills. Thus was born the Congregation of the Sisters of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. From the beginning, the sisters devoted themselves to education, caring for the sick, serving the local Church, and listening to all distresses.
