Hand-painted oval miniature representing the portrait of an aristocrat wearing a lace collar, mounted in a solid 18-karat gold brooch in two colors chiseled with a vegetable frieze, bird head punch (small works relief punch from 1783) and countermark mark "bee" from the Farmer General of Paris Jean-François Kalandrin (1789-1792), from the end of the 18th century.

This brooch is in good condition and is of exceptional quality. Hallmarked see photos (the woodpecker was later checked, owl punch). The lower part of the frame can be removed (see last photo).

A note: tiny micro-scratches and slight wear of time, look at the photos.
