Bergère à oreilles mahogany armchair gilded bronze attr. François Linke nineteenth

Large wing chair solid mahogany accented with finely chiseled gilded bronze ornaments decorated with shells and foliage, armrests whiplash, attributed to the famous cabinet maker François Linke *, upholstery velvet embossed fabric, vintage late nineteenth century .
This shepherdess is in very good condition and is of exceptional quality. It is richly decorated.

born in Austria, he began around 1882 and practiced until his death in 170 Faubourg Saint-Antoine; after 1900 he added a branch on the Place Vendôme. After having a great popularity around 1900, his production dimunua around 1935. He specialized in the manufacture of furniture insiprés of a rocaille style very outraged that overloaded bronzes. He presented at the Exposition Universelle in 1900 an office in violet wood and bronze of an extravagant Louis XV style for which he obtained a gold medal.
