Round box made of crystal or glass, solid gold frame finely chiseled with stylized floral friezes, 750-mil gold mark (1798-1809), hallmark of Garantie de Paris and goldsmith PAM, adorned on the lid of a painted miniature representing the portrait of 'a young man elegantly dressed, signed Chasselat * and dated 1809, vintage early nineteenth century.
