Combination safe (5 digits) in rosewood and gilded brass marquetry, decorated with a monogram on the lid framed by stylized foliage motifs, signed Th. Année* cabinetmaker Fabrique de Nécessaires, 18 rue Chapon Paris, Napoleon III period 19th century.
This chest is in good condition overall. It has holes drilled underneath for attaching it to a piece of furniture.
The combination will be given only to the buyer (the system works).
Please note: some damage to the brass (some parts are coming off in places), crack on the lid, some scratches and wear from time, take a good look at the photos.
* Théodore Année was awarded a bronze medal at the 1844 Exhibition of French Industrial Products. In 1856, he took over the CHABERT house at 22 rue CHAPON before selling it to COIGNARD in 1863.
