Small sculpture forming a finely chiseled gilt bronze paperweight representing a dog (most certainly a poodle), holding out the right paw with a missive in the mouth, on a rectangular white marble base, green marble cushion, from the early 19th century .
This sculpture is in good condition. The screws and bolts were changed later (two missing).
A note: micro-chips on the edge of the marble, the cushion rotates, some scratches, wear and soiling of time, see photos.
