Very nice pair of candlesticks or slip majolica *, representing two lions mouth open and XIXth century.
These candlesticks are in good condition. A report: traces repair (glue) on a candlestick (binet and foot), normal wear, see photos.
* Majolica (also called slips) is commonly called majolica earthenware decorated with ornamental, whatever the nature of their dough. A Sarreguemines 1870 we began manufacturing under the name decorative pieces made of dough ferruginous limestone, covered with colored enamel tin. Majolica Sarreguemines are highly sought after and copied price of fame.
