Superb ink drawing depicting a view of a battlefield under the Empire where many soldiers establish the seat of a castle on a hill and attacking cannon, signed with a monogram MF can to be Morel-Fatio * of XIXth century.

This ink is in good condition and frame. It is under glass. It is monogrammed lower right.

A report: the paper is slightly curled, wrinkled, and some tasks jaunissures, mishaps on the frame, see photos.

* Antoine Léon Morel-Fatio (1810-1871) (Ec fr): he started at the 1833 Salon with marine and continued to take an active part in exhibitions. Gifted with a talent easier, likely to occur in the imaging field than in true art, it was a great success with the public and was the subject of numerous honors. Chevalier of the Legion d'Honneur in 1846, Officer of the Legion d'Honneur in 1866. In 1854 he was part of the Crimean expedition.
