* The daily spectacle of moral and spiritual ruins accumulated by the French Revolution of 1789 took root in the heart of a woman, Angélique The Deaf, the desire to devote his life to remedy, helping priests to revive faith and restore morals. Thus April 25, 1816, she decided with three companions to live together in St. Jacut small town in Morbihan, to be able to do good around them by pooling their resources and skills. Thus was born the Congregation of the Sisters of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. From the beginning, the sisters devoted themselves in education, care of the sick, the service of the local church, and listening to all distress.
