Small finely chiseled gilt bronze clock, decorated with a cherub or Triumphant Cupid, the foot proudly placed on the head of a defeated and lying lion, enamelled dial with Roman numerals topped with a torch and quiver, below two beautiful crossed palmettes , base bearing the inscription "Who Could Resist Me", from the 1st Empire period at the beginning of the 19th century.

This clock is in good condition and is of exceptional quality. The wire movement works (has been overhauled), we have the pendulum but not the key.

A note: tiny little enamel jumps around the winding hole on the dial, slight scratches and wear to the gilding in places, see photos.
