Cartel Louis XV Boulle marquetry and gilt bronze Putti Bacchus, 68 cm, 19th century

Large Louis XV cartel and its base, * in Boulle marquetry and ormolu, decorated with a cherub on top and a Bacchus holding a fruit basket on the door of the dial, as well as heads of putti, flowers and shells, period 1840-1850 to the nineteenth century.

This cartel is in good condition. The movement is signed "From Moulin Neuf Mollé Paris", but it will work to revise. We have his key and pendulum. He used his key to close the door of the dial (not working).

A note: some accidents and lack of marquetry and bronzes will be cleaned, the subject of the above moves a little and will reattach, normal wear, good looking pictures.

* André-Charles Boulle (1642-1732), cabinet maker and inventor of the famous Boulle marquetry. From 1666 to 1676, he has his own woodworking shop where work up to 40 people, including his own son. From 1672, King Louis XIV, on the advice of Colbert, who considers him "the most skilled cabinetmaker in Paris", it offers accommodation in the Louvre.
