Empire clock in gilt bronze entirely chased, representing the Allegory of Knowledge, Wisdom and Science in the person of Urania (Muse of Astronomy) standing reading a book leaning on the dial on which are placed an oil lamp and a crown, on the other side a terrestrial globe, base decorated with palmettes, cornucopias and florets, from the Restoration period 19th century.

This clock is in very good condition and of superb quality. It has been serviced and works perfectly.

Please note: slight soiling on the top of the dial, small defect on the globe, some light scratches and wear from age, see photos.
