Large Louis XVI style cartel in gilded bronze finely chiseled with decorations of garlands, ribbons, foliage and mascaron of woman, surmounted by a vase or acanthus leaves, enamelled dial with Roman numerals signed House Marnyhac * Paris, late nineteenth century.

This cartel is in good condition and is of exceptional quality. It is very decorative because of its size. It works but will have to be revised. We have the pendulum but not the key. The dial is signed "Maison Marnyhac in Paris Rue de la Paix 1".

There are some small accidents on the dial (cf red arrows), a bronze element (foliage) is removed on the side and will be to be refixed, a few wear and tear of the time, look good photos.

* The house Marnyhac

Is the commercial name of the Society of Marble and Artistic Bronzes, founded by the artist Charles de Marnyhac (1840-1897, and established avenue de l'Opéra then Rue de la Paix at the end of the XIXth century. The sculptor Auguste Clesinger (1814-1883) will also produce bronzes for the Maison Marnyhac.The Maison will participate in the Universal Exhibition Of 1878 where she obtained a medal and competed with the largest houses, such as the well-known Barbedian House.
