Rare coconut carved and perforated, serving as a piggy bank, decorated with an eagle with outstretched wings, flanked by two characters, as well as flowers and leaves, convict labor or marine *, of XIXth century.
This coconut is in good condition.

* The coconut as the tagua was worked by sailors or also by convicts. The latter worked to pass the time but mainly to get some money to improve their lives. Can also be attributed to sailors during their long journeys. These objects are coconut or corozo fine examples of folk art.
