Louis XV cabaret* port table in solid mahogany, opening with a frieze drawer, crosspieces molded and contoured on all sides, resting on four curved legs carved with stylized shells and finished in snails, from Bordeaux, from the 18th century.
This table is in very good condition and is of remarkable quality.
A note: small crack on the board, some scratches on the wood, wear of time, see photos.
* The cabaret table: this small center table is used to receive drinks, tea service or any other refreshment. The contour of the tray is provided with a small rim raised in a bowl or basin. It thus prevents glasses, carafes, cups, etc., from falling. The cabaret table or cabaret table is a common piece of furniture in the bourgeois interiors of the 18th century. Many are solid mahogany port fabrications.
