Venetian chest said "Cassone" shaped tomb polychrome embossed leather decorated with scrolls and plant arabesques and stuccoed wood gold and silver, decorated on the front of a coat of arms depicting a cherub accompanied by a phoenix or dragon; the back is painted a landscape of ruins and plant motifs, from Venice Italy, seventeenth century.
This box is in good condition and is of exceptional quality. It is pine. The interior is painted oxblood color. The hinges are not original and were added later.
