* André Delatte (1887-1953)

is an industrialist, master glassmaker, founder in 1921 of Verreries de l'Est SA whose workshops manufactured artistic glassware from the main brand ADelatte Nancy, in the Art Nouveau or Art Deco styles. The glassmaking techniques which made Delatte's productions famous are above all: the so-called berluz vases, which are vases in marmoreal glass, blown, with a long stretched neck and sometimes hemmed, the naturalistic glassware engraved in acid cameo, d 'Art Nouveau inspiration (in the style of the industrial Gallé), however out of step with the tastes of the time, Art Deco style glassware, in plain or marmoreal glass, on the hot-enamelled surface of friezes with stylized decor. The production consists mainly in the manufacture of vases and lamps. Today recognized among the significant Art Nouveau glassmakers, despite the anachronism of its production, his works are exhibited at the Museum of the School of Nancy.
