Opalescent molded-pressed glass bowl signed R.Lalique * France and numbered 383, Volubilis model, from the 20th century.

This cut is in good condition. Signed and numbered in the background.

The model was created in 1921, appears in the catalog of 1928 and 1932, and on the 1937 price list, sold out on April 28, 1939, not included after 1947. Bibliography: Félix Marcilhac, R. Lalique - Raised catalog of the work of glass, Les Éditions de l'Amateur, Paris, 1994.

* René Jules Lalique (1860-1945)

is a French master glassmaker and jeweler, founder of Maison Lalique. He became famous for his amazing creations of jewelry, then perfume bottles, vases, candlesticks, clocks and, at the end of his life, car cabochons. The company he founded still works and still creates many quality pieces that make him famous worldwide. The name of Lalique has remained attached to creativity and quality, because it has always known how to draw sumptuous objects but remaining discreet.
