Finely decorated crystal goblet/tea glass (frosted style) signed Saint-Louis*, body with fine decoration in a spiderweb pattern, adorned with beautiful gold lettering (letter L) embellished with foliage, from the 19th century.

This glass is in good condition and of high quality. It has an old label on the base.

Note: tiny scratches and slight wear on the gilding, see photos.

The Royal Glassworks of Saint-Louis, located in the French town of Saint-Louis-lès-Bitche in Moselle, is the oldest crystal glassworks in France (1586). In 1829, the glassworks became the Compagnie des Cristalleries de Saint Louis. The crystal glassworks, still in operation today, was acquired in 1989 by the renowned luxury brand Hermès. Saint-Louis, along with Baccarat, are among the largest French crystal manufacturers.
