Pair of Louis XVI gilt bronze andirons, finely chased, model known as "Aux Enfants" (or love) with a boy and a girl sitting on rocks warming their hands at a tripod brazier or fire pot adorned with rams' heads, base decorated with drapery, florets and acanthus leaf friezes and resting on four fluted feet, 18th century period.
These andirons are in good condition and of exceptional quality. Very decorative with exquisitely fine carving. Antique mounting (see last photos).
Note: slight scratches and wear consistent with age on the gilding, see photos.
