Molten glass vase by Emile Gallé, Art Nouveau, 19th century

Molten glass vase signed Galle *, * decorated with acid generated from tree branches and leaves tumbling, registered Art Nouveau late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries.

This vase is in very good condition. It is signed on the side.

A note: micro-chips on the edge of the neck, a few small scratches and normal wear see photos.

* Molten glass: glass treatment known since ancient times (Pliny), rediscovered by H.Cros 1880, which sought fusible material can be worked in paste or liquid. This is a colored crystal, previously powdered and mixed with water, added to a binder to compose a paste, it becomes hard after firing and translucent then be modeled as a sculpture and colorful. It otient the real glass paste by amalgamating cold glasses and enamels ground. * Emile Gallé (1846-1904) was an industrialist, master glassmaker and cabinetmaker French ceramist. He is founder and first president of the School of Nancy in 1901. Children's Art and commerce, it is one of the most influential figures of his time to applied art and a pioneer of Art Nouveau.
