Polychrome glazed ceramic lamp base signed by the Breton R. Tostivint* "unique piece", vintage 20th century period.
This lamp is in good condition and of fine quality. Signed on the base.

Saint-Brieuc. Son of René Tostivint. In Oran, he entered the School of Fine Arts in 1949. From 1950, he learned the craft from a Spanish ceramist, Bartolomé Jorba, a Spanish political refugee and friend of Salvador Dalí and the architect Gaudí. He then returned to Saint-Brieuc and became a renowned ceramist. He had his workshop on Rue Fardel from 1958. He later moved to Binic in 1968.
