Pair of hand-painted miniatures depicting on one the portrait of a notable of the Directory wearing a velvet jacket and a silk scarf; on the other the portrait of his wife elegantly dressed in a blue dress with a shawl on his shoulder, the Directoire-I Empire period late eighteenth and early nineteenth centuries.
These miniatures are in good condition.
A note: small slits on the frame of the portrait of the man, some scratches on the wood, slight wear on the thumbnails, see photos.
