Pair of hand-painted oval miniatures representing the portrait of a couple of nobles or bourgeois (Mr. and Mrs. Stique, 11 rue Bartholdi in Boulogne), the man wearing an elegant suit with silk shirt, and the woman a beautiful pink dress with gold chain and lace collar, signed J. Lecourt * and dated 1830, XIXth century.

These miniatures are in good condition and are of very high quality. The miniature of the woman is signed on the right side, annotated on the back.

A note: slight wear of time, see photos.

* J. Lecourt (active in Versailles around 1804-1836):

miniature and enamel painter. Active in Versailles, 37 avenue de Saint-Cloud. He exhibited miniatures 6 times at the Paris Salon. Cartains of his shipments consisted of "miniatures in the style of Petitot". Lecourt seems to have produced a lot, and we owe him the portraits of Bernadotte, several officers and many unidentified young women. Signature: Lecourt, more rarely J. Lecourt, almost always in gold.
