* Thibouville:

Eugène THIBOUVILLE was born on February 12, 1823 in La Couture Boussey (Eure). Son of Martin THIBOUVILLE eldest son (1793-1873) Maker of musical instruments established in Couture Boussey and of Marie Marguerite BOUSSELAIRE.
Associated with his father and his brother Martin Denis under the name Martin THIBOUVILLE Aîné, 67 rue des Vieux Augustin in Paris. Mr. Martin Thibouville the eldest son already had a factory at La Couture since 1820, when he came to establish a house in Paris shortly before 1848. Like many artisans of Couture like: Godefrod, Lot, Hérouard, Noblet , Martin, Herouard. They also tried the Parisian adventure, the father Martin and the two sons Martin Denis and Eugène Nicolas exploited together, their house of La Couture Boussey as well as a store, 67 rue des Vieux Augustin in Paris. It seems highly probable that Eugène, settled in Paris, took care of the store while his father and his brother Martin Denis remained at the Couture workshop to manufacture the instruments on order.
