Finely chiseled silver gilt lunula box, decorated with a stylized cross on the lid, hallmarked Minerva (1st title) and goldsmith's mark Poussielgue-Rusand*, with its lunula, from the 19th century.
This box is in good overall condition as is its lunula. Hallmarked (see photos), no hallmark on the lunula but has been tested.

PPR hallmark with a heart, star, anchor, and cross. Parisian goldsmith known primarily for his liturgical objects: chalices, ciboria, patens, and monstrances. He also created the high altar of the Church of the Holy Trinity in Paris and the crown of light of Notre-Dame Cathedral in Paris. He also worked for Notre-Dame Cathedral in Amiens, where he notably created the superb bronze altar in the Sacré-Coeur chapel, as well as the reliquary of the head of Saint John the Baptist. During his lifetime, he received the title of "Manufacturer of the Holy Father the Pope." He trained Émile Evellin, a Breton goldsmith.
