Collection dish or offerings in embossed brass, centrally decorated with the theme of the Canaan Cluster* brought to Moses by two bearers, surrounded by Gothic inscriptions, on the edge of foliated and stylized stamped friezes, from Germany (Nuremberg region), from the late 16th and early 17th centuries.

This dish is in good general condition, in its own juice. Pierced at the rear edge to be able to hang it (3 holes).

A note: some accidents on the edge, some shocks and deformations of the decorations in the background, dirt and wear of time, take a good look at the photos.

We put other similar quest dishes for sale on this site.

* The land of Canaan, is a long-promised heritage of Israel, located between the Jordan and the Mediterranean. Moses, on God's instruction, sends out twelve men on reconnaissance. Arrived at the valley of Escol, they cut a branch of vine with its bunch of grapes and Joshua and Caleb carried it to two by means of a pole. Also called the cluster of the Promised Land, because they bring back from the Promised Land the fruits that Moses sent them to seek.
