Carved bas-relief sculpture depicting the Virgin Mary in Pieta (Mater Dolorosa) holding the body of Jesus as it descends from the cross, in an architectural structure with leafy columns and framed by two cherubs, Gothic inscription underneath, signed by Morera sculptor, work certainly Spanish, XIXth century.
This bas-relief is in good condition. Signed at the bottom. His frame may be later.
A note: some slight desilensing in places, some small shocks and scratches of time, some wear also on the frame, look at the pictures.
