Oil on panel depicting a view of the Gothic church of Saint Maclou de Rouen, animated by various characters, signed Frédéric Legrip * and dated 1858, in a stuccoed wooden frame with information related to the church in each corner: "Bourdon Curé "," Ouin-La-Croix Historian "," Robin Architect "and" ... ion Sculptor ", XIXth century.

This painting is in good condition. The frame has undergone some uses.

A note: some accidents, lacks and traces of restorations (stucco) on the frame, slot on the left side of the panel, small lack of paint in the bottom, ususers of time, look at the pictures.

* Frédéric Legrip (1817 Rouen - 1871 Paris)

painter and engraver (Ec fr). Student of Langlois and Drolling. He executed mainly historical or religious paintings, but also landscapes with silver nuances. It is found at the Museums of Besançon, Alençon and Versailles. (extract Bénézit).
