Oil on canvas signed R. Lecourt * representing a hay or hay harvesting scene with a cart pulled by three horses, in a sunny countryside landscape, from the 20th century.

This oil is in good condition. Signed lower right.

* Raimond (Raymond) Lecourt (1882 -1946):

is a French painter. Student of the École des Beaux-arts du Havre under the supervision of Charles Lhuillier, then of Léon Bonnat at the École des Beaux-arts in Paris. He then lives in Fontaine-la-Mallet, where he lives in permanent contact with the Normandy region, his favorite subject. He began at the Salon of French artists in 1901. He was a member of the Société des Artistes Français, also exhibited at the Salon des Indépendants, and made regular deliveries to the Salons. Many paintings of him appear in Denmark, Germany, the United States, Japan, Great Britain.
