is a French painter, engraver and illustrator. At the School of Decorative Arts in Paris, he was a student of Gustave Boulanger and Henri-Lucien Doucet, then he entered the studio of Jules Lefebvre at the School of Fine Arts in Paris. A painter of history and seascapes, he also practices genre painting with paintings featuring cardinals in anecdotal daily situations, a popular theme at the time. In 1902, he exhibited in Paris around fifty paintings created during a stay in the Netherlands, on the theme of daily life and typical interiors. Benoit-Lévy exhibited at the Salon of French Artists and received a third medal in 1895, an honorable mention in 1901, and a third class medal in 1911.
