* Maurice Désiré Pellerier (1875-1962)

is a French painter and watercolorist. A student of Paul-Émile Colin, he exhibited in Paris at the Salon des Artistes Français from 1908 and at the Salon des Indépendants from 1911. He was a member of the Salon des Artistes Français, where he received an honorable mention in 1930 and a silver medal in 1933. Also a watercolorist at the Artistes de Paris, he exhibited at Georges Petit in 1925-1928. A painter of the sea and mountains, his harmoniously ordered landscapes spread the panorama of gentle France with a masterful touch. His colors, treated in a way that is both precise and shimmering, leave a strong impression at the same time very gentle. His paintings awaken emotions in us that remain with us long after we have had the privilege of admiring them. His art is beneficial in its beauty and profound sincerity.
