Superb oil on canvas depicting a gallant scene with a couple of characters talking to another man sitting on a rock, in a countryside landscape, signed Lanfant Metz *, of XIXth century.

This table is in good condition and frame. It is signed lower right.

A note: it will reattach in its frame, slight wear on the gilding, see photos.

* François-Louis Lenfant or Lanfant Metz (1814-1892):

A pupil of Ary Scheffer in Paris, he exhibited at the Salon of 1843 to 1866, street scenes or populated kindergartens mischievous kids and young dogs. He moved to Le Havre in 1868, but frequently returns to live in his studio in Paris Boulevard of the Italians. He carried himself in lithography a number of his works.
