Oil on panel depicting a young woman sitting beside a river fishing rod in hand, a wicker basket at her side, in a rural and bucolic landscape, signed Ch. * Hue, in a gilt wood frame stucco , XIXth century.

This table is in good condition and is of high quality. It is signed lower right.

A note: some accidents, cracks and gaps on the frame (see red arrows), llégère test of time, see photos.

* Charles Désiré Hue (1830-1899 c.):

painter, watercolorist and lithographer (Ec fr.). Student of Robert Fleury and Caraud. this artist has delighted in scenes of the eighteenth century. Jean-Jacques Rousseau and his works, Manon Lescaut were often represented by him. He debuted at the Paris Salon. honorable mention in 1883. The Saint-Brieuc Museum has him "Shipwreck".
