Set of 8 plates Paris porcelain enhanced with a gilding net, signed in red Darte Royal Palace No. 21, Charles X period around 1830 nineteenth century.
These plates are in good condition.
A note: a crack on the edge of a plate, some wear and lack on the gilding, scratches of time, see photos.
Louis Joseph and Jean Francois Darte joined under the name of DARTE FRERES and bought in 1804 the hotel de Montalembert, rue de la Roquette and then took over the store of the Royal Palace of Tribunat. The workshops are well managed and the high quality production has given this factory a good reputation. Business was going well and in 1816 a second store was rented. At the exhibitions of 1806 and 1819 they obtained the silver medal. The two brothers separated about 1823 at the end of their association.
