Jacques Blin was born in France in 1920. He earned a degree in aeronautical engineering but chose instead to turn his passion into a career. In 1954, he opened his first ceramics workshop. That same year, he exhibited at the Salon des Céramistes et des Métiers d'Art and at the Maison de la Chimie. A deeply committed artist, he became vice-president of the International Academy of Ceramics in Geneva.
