Nevers earthenware snuffbox shaker, in the shape of a book "Breviere de Rablais" (Rabelais Breviary), with on one side two birds near a cage and a sun "when this bird sings my love will end / I will never return"; and on the other a cherub and a bird, a fortified town in the background "My love does everything", from the early 19th century.
This shaker is in good condition overall. Missing the small cap on top.
