In December 1941, he began his apprenticeship at the HB pottery factory in Jean Caer's workshop. He also benefited from the drawing and modeling classes that Victor Lucas, the company's new technical director since the end of March 1941, offered to apprentices on Saturdays. Later, like other young artists, he seized the opportunity presented by the opening of a new pottery factory that was looking for designers. The conditions offered by Keraluc, including considerable creative freedom and generous compensation, prompted him to leave HB in 1946 to rejoin Victor Lucas, who had resigned in March 1944. The HB pottery factory exhibited his creations alongside those of the other artists from the factory in July 1951 (seven pieces from this period are preserved by the Musée de la Faïence in Locmaria). He exhibited locally at a few events, and the 15th Salon d'Art Contemporain du Guilvinec, organized by the Union des Arts Plastiques Breton, paid him posthumous tribute during the summer of 1974.
