White Paris porcelain egg cup on a footed base, enhanced with gilt lines, flared cup decorated with a coat of arms with intertwined initials, stem made up of three busts of caryatids (ancient women or sphinxes) on a round foot, from the First Empire period around 1800, early 19th century.
This egg cup is in good condition and of remarkable quality. The caryatid base is perfectly in keeping with the Empire style of the very early 19th century, inspired by classical art and especially reflecting the taste for the Egyptian Revival style.
Please note: slight signs of wear and tear on the decorations and busts, please look carefully at the photos.
