* Chelsea porcelain was manufactured from 1745 to 1784 in a factory built by the Flemish Nicholas Sprimont, associated with the jeweler Charles Gouyn. The factory only produced bone china. This production of porcelain was late compared to what was at the time in continental Europe but Chelsea was the first porcelain manufactory of importance the United Kingdom. The factory was bought in 1769 by William Duesbury, owner of the factory in Derby. The production of this time of neoclassic style is indistinguishable from the production of Derby. She was appointed Chelsea-Derby porcelain.
